About the game
Stranger Treasures started as a college practice by making a small advergame prototype.
Some time later I was contacted by an advertising company to pitch them the idea in order to reach out with Netflix for a deal.
That did not work, but It was the excuse I needed to start learning how to code and get into Unity.
What I did in the game
- I did the narrative, game, level and UI/UX design.
- I did the programming from scratch: My first encounter with C#.
- I did all the 2D / 3D assets -except for particles.
What I have learned from working on this project
- How to plan an entire project by myself.
- How to make practical documentation -even just for me.
- How to use Unity -it was my first try on the coder seat.
- How to code, just a little bit.
- How to pitch a game idea -and fail.
